This is one of the logos I have created. I decided to have it black and white to keep it plain and simple, I think if I added colour it would of ruined the logo. I decided to use a house in a cartoon style to make it look childish as the logo name has the word 'little' in it. I also added a really bad drawn outline border to make it look like a child drew it. the house is central with the words written underneath in capitals to make it clear which film production it as it isn't known yet. Overall, I went for a simple logo as the logo name reminds me of children.

Universal

11th Logo (10th official logo)

(May 23, 1997-February 24, 2012)

This production company logo is so powerful and very recognisable. The logo consist of the globe centre of the screen all the time which makes it stand out against the black background. The fact it stands out makes it recognisable and easier to remember. The use of the bright colours also makes it memorable. The use of the world makes audience believe it is a worldwide company and is successful all over the world.

12th Logo (11th official logo)
(March 2, 2012-present day)

This is the newest logo for universal as it changes quite a bit. The reason for the changes is so it can stay modern and be suitable with that generation. This logo is pretty similar to the one above but this one looks cooler and people of this generation will appeal to it more than elders. It was bold font underneath the word ‘universal’ saying ‘100th anniversary’ portraying Universal company has been going for 100 years and the fact it’s on the logo expresses it is proud of how long the company has lasted and would like to show this off.
Walt Disney

Back in 2000, the Walt Disney logo was a castle with a beam appearing from behind. The logo was modified in 2006 with a shooting star on the night sky. The uniquely designed Walt Disney logo speaks its own language. The stylized version of its founder’s signature is part of the Disney World identity. It provides parents as well as kids the message to have fun in a fairy-tale atmosphere. The Walt Disney logo comprises of a castle with a blue background. The glowing beam is basically a golden version of the stars and sparks that compliments both the overall logo design. The Walt Disney logo comprises of a castle above which runs a beam of a shooting star. The beam finally ends with a sparkle on top of the castle. The fonts appear fancy and charismatic written below the motif.

DreamWorks
The DreamWorks logo features a boy sitting on a crescent moon while fishing. The boy resembles the target audiences of the film the company belongs to. DreamWorks produce films that are animated mainly and their target audience is young people, hence why the person on the moon is young. DreamWorks have two logos, if you see the first logo it means DreamWorks isn’t the main production of this film. However, if you see the bigger logo (right) you can identify DreamWorks is the main production of that film.  The clouds relate to the word ‘Dream’ in the logo title and the fact the boy is fishing in the clouds could portray he ‘Works’ for his dreams. The fact it is impossible to sit on the moon and fish relates to younger viewers’ imagination and when they see this picture they tend to appreciate more than older viewers’.

Film Logo Analysis

Warner Brothers
In 1998 a CGI version of the logo was introduced which started with a picture of the studios, a ripple going across it and slowly turning to reveal the logo. Pictures was founded by four brothers: Jack, Harry, Albert and Sam. The shield was to convey strength of the production, and the fact there was four brothers they all shared a quarter of this shield (company). The bold font resembles their power of their company. The Warner Brothers have gone through a lot of logos from when it started to be seen on screens. Although, they have had many changes its easy to identify Warner Brothers with a gold shield with the initials ‘WB’ this is also presented in a bold, 3D font. As shown above. When an audience see’s this logo they automatically know the film is going to be comedy, cartoon or action but not too violent. The sky in the background portrays a calm atmosphere which could imply to the audience this film is going to relate to this logo. The blue background allows the gold/yellow to stand out more which implies Warner Brothers stand out from any other production company.

New logo; if you look closely at the detail there is chords which shape the letter of my name 'H'. I used music notes as I enjoy listening to music and I'm always singing (not good) so theres some flat notes in there to convey my terrible voice. I also used the colour green as the main colour as it's my favourite colour. I also used bright colours to portray myself in terms of personailty as I am a very joy person.
